ZFP secured second place in the design competition for this judicial complex, spanning 43,600 m2 of land with a built-up area of 150,000 m2. The project features four independent courts, with building forms that symbolize simplicity, balance, and strength—qualities reflective of justice. Inspired by architectural heritage, the design integrates traditional elements into a contemporary sculptural form. A central plaza unifies the court buildings, serving as a tranquil transitional space. Transparent internal facades overlooking the plaza bring a sense of openness, contrasting the solid external envelope. This blend of transparency and solidity conveys the values of Islamic Law—clarity, mercy, and solemnity.
