The project is located in Riyadh Valley at King Saud University with a total site area of 80,000 m2 and a built-up area of 43,000 m2. The research center was designed based on the latest world-class state-of-the-art technologies to support SABIC’s vision (to expand its plastic applications worldwide). The orientation of the building is to the north to provide natural light for most of the day to more than 75% of all regular occupation areas. This will reduce energy consumption from artificial lighting and provide HVAC for an innovative and creative work environment. Using transparency and daylight will improve the integration between researchers, engineers and customers.
